Open Greco-Roman wrestling training for children with disabilities in Mariupol

On September 12, an open training session was held in Mariupol with members of the national team of Ukraine in Greco-Roman wrestling - winners of the championships of Ukraine, Europe, and the world Artur Politayev and Viktor Petryk.

Arthur and Victor conducted a master class on Greco-Roman wrestling, showed their “crown” techniques, and told how they began their classes on Greco-Roman wrestling.
The head coach of the event was Andriy Matiychenko, Master of Sports of Ukraine in Greco-Roman wrestling, coach of the first category, representative of the Greco-Roman wrestling federation of Ukraine, judge of the national category with more than 15 years of teaching experience.

“These training take into account the peculiarities of the perception of children with disabilities – they need more attention and patience from the coach. Thanks to the Parimatch Foundation, we selected and ordered special technical equipment. The main thing we learn in class is to turn our shortcomings into virtues, to be able to stand up for ourselves and socialize, ” Andriy comments.Open training has officially launched a comprehensive  “Yes, I can!” program in Mariupol. The ideology of the project is to support children with special needs by involving them in sports. The event was co-organized by the municipal institution M · Sport.
