On July 8 and 9, the international charity Parimatch Foundation took part in the Atlas Weekend music festival. The Foundation together with the Basketball Federation of Ukraine organized on its own playground basketball mini-tournaments with players of the national team of Ukraine U23, friendly matches, and a series of masterclasses for children-wards "Sports Mentor" and "Yes, I can!"
Also at the location, the festival participants got acquainted with the social campaign “Stop, discrimination! Everyone has the right to sports “- everyone could make a temporary music tattoo and try the Insta-mask, as well as watch the promo video of the campaign.
A total of 35 children took part in the free open training – 13 of them were wards of FC Podil’s fund partners. All children received cool gifts and a sea of unforgettable emotions.
“The fact that during such high-profile events it is possible to draw public attention to such crucial issues as inclusion and the need for barrier-free access to sports is a victory in the minds of each of us,” said Kateryna Biloruska, president of the Parimatch Foundation. Since the beginning of the foundation, we have been working with children with disabilities to integrate inclusive training, which has already become the norm for our country. That the participants of the program “Yes, I can!” played with professional basketball players during the Atlas Weekend, shows that children are socialized and exercise their right to barrier-free access to sports, and society tolerantly supports and promotes the principles of inclusion. ”
