Summer 2026 is officially in the books — and thanks to our community and partners, it has been one of our most dynamic and impactful seasons yet.

Across three regions of Cyprus — Nicosia, Limassol, and Kampia — the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation (KBF) successfully delivered 6 inclusive sport programs. Together, these initiatives welcomed hundreds of children, with a dedicated focus on kids with disabilities and youth from vulnerable social backgrounds. Our core principle remained unchanged: no one is left out of the game.

Highlights of the Summer Season:

  • Nicosia Summer School (June 22 – September 4): Organized in partnership with the Nicosia Municipal Multifunctional Foundation, running groups of 30 children — engaging up to 150 kids every week — in a full summer of sports and recreation.
  • Para-Kayaking Program (February – December): Running almost all year round in collaboration with Kyrenia Nautical Club, this dedicated kayaking section empowers children with disabilities through water sports.
  • ActiveZone Mountain Camp: Together with ActiveZone Outdoor, 20 children from vulnerable families joined an immersive mountain camp featuring hiking, outdoor team-building, and environmental education.
  • “Yes, I Can” Exhibition (March – August): Months of highlighting achievements, raising awareness, and showing what is possible when barriers are removed.
  • Inclusive Beach Workouts: A joint initiative with ActiveZone Outdoor that brought together 25 participants — including people with disabilities and children from vulnerable groups — for seaside workouts and yoga sessions.
Throughout the summer, young participants explored a diverse range of over 15 sports and activities: from zumba, breakdance, athletics, karate, and rock climbing to adaptive horse riding, archery, boccia, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and self-defense.
“This summer proved a vital truth: when children are given equal opportunities, safe environments, and genuine encouragement, their potential knows no bounds. We are immensely proud of every participant who stepped onto the field, tried a new sport, and discovered their confidence this season. None of this impact would be possible without our dedicated partners and community. Sport is truly for everyone — and we are just getting started,” said Kateryna Biloruska, Founder of the Foundation.
The Kateryna Biloruska Foundation continues to expand its inclusive sports initiatives across the region.
