The Kateryna Biloruska Foundation team recently joined an open basketball training session hosted by United Sports Cyprus in Nicosia, bringing together children and young people with and without disabilities.
The session took place as part of the Basketball for All programme, an initiative offering weekly inclusive basketball training for participants aged 4 to 35. Within this space, basketball goes far beyond physical activity — it serves as a powerful platform for building self-confidence, fostering teamwork, forming lasting friendships, and learning to respect and embrace differences.
The event was supported by ParticiYou, an Erasmus+ initiative led by United Sports Cyprus and its partners. The project utilizes community sports to drive social inclusion, leadership, and active civic participation among young people with disabilities.
Highlights of the training went beyond the court. After the final whistle, the participants and team gathered to celebrate a fellow player’s birthday — a simple yet impactful moment capturing the true spirit of community and belonging.
The Kateryna Biloruska Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to United Sports Cyprus, RESET, and ParticiYou for creating an environment where inclusion is not merely a statement, but a lived daily experience.
