Performance results 2023-2025

Kateryna Biloruska Foundation continues its main mission – to engage children in education, physical activity, innovative education, and take care of their mental health. We have continued to work on our current programs and are ready to share the key results of 2023-2025.

Boost4Best and the B-RIGHT project. Cyprus

Program for the support and development of Olympic sports in Cyprus. The program's mission is to help talented teenagers with the main goal of participating in the Olympic Games and to recognize champions in the international sports community. The Foundation helps them focus on unlocking their sporting potential instead of solving financial issues.

We are very pleased with the success of our athletes. They have been able to gain recognition, medals, and experience in various national and international competitions. Among the recent successes of many of our athletes is participation in the 2023 European Small States Games in Malta, which took place from May 28 to June 3.

We also promote the B-RIGHT project in Cyprus. It aims to help all children and the community learn about their rights through simple basketball exercises that all children can master.

Sports Mentor. Cyprus

A comprehensive program for children with different life circumstances called "Sports Mentor". The main goal is to develop physical and social skills through sports. Among the tasks is to overcome the tendency to anti-social behavior through interest in a healthy lifestyle.

"Yes, I can!". Cyprus

One of the most important and priority areas for the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation is the continuous involvement of children with disabilities in physical activity and sports. Within the framework of this program in Cyprus, the Foundation develops coaching capacity in the inclusive field, provides systematic training for children with disabilities in various sports, including football, canoeing, and horseback riding.

Programme Activities 2025

1.  Sport & Healthy Lifestyle for Children from Vulnerable Backgrounds

KBF provides consistent, free-of-charge sport programmes for 350+ children monthly in partnership with local municipalities. The programme targets children from low-income and vulnerable families, ensuring equal access to physical activity, creative expression, and social integration, regardless of nationality or socio-economic background.

2025 Activities

  • Agreement with the Nicosia Municipal Multi-purpose Centre (15 May 2025) — funding of the Child Protection and After-School Activities Programme (ages 6–12) across summer 2025 (19 June – 5 September 2025). Weekly activities included ball games, Krav Maga, Taekwondo, and dance.
  • Agreement with the Agios Dometios – Engomi Municipal Multi-purpose Centre (15 May 2025) — parallel provision of the same programme.
  • Agreement with the Nicosia Municipal Multi-purpose Centre for the 2025–2026 school year (15 October 2025) — continuation under the programme ‘Carefree parents, creative children!’, running until mid-June 2026. Activities include dance, zumba, music, theatre, and creative expression.

Children played friendly games alongside professional athletes, martial arts coaches, and dance instructors. Attended by the Mayor of Nicosia, Charalambos Brountzos, and senior municipal officials.

2.  Inclusive Sport for Children with Special Abilities

KBF is a leading voice in para-sport development in Cyprus through its strategic partnership with the Cyprus National Paralympic Committee (CNPC). The programme aims to enhance the psychosocial development and social inclusion of children with disabilities through sport, improving their physical and emotional skills and offering opportunities for socialisation and creative expression.

2025 Activities

  • Memorandum of Cooperation with the Cyprus National Paralympic Committee (17 March 2025) — formalising a long-term partnership to strengthen Paralympic sport, promote inclusion, and raise public awareness.
  • Election of KBF Founder Kateryna Biloruska as President of the CNPC International Relations Committee.
  • ‘Yes, I Can’ Awareness Campaign (launched November 2025, six-month duration) — featuring 15 distinguished Paralympic athletes sharing stories of courage and resilience, delivered via digital social media (Instagram/Facebook) and a photography exhibition at Larnaka International Airport.
  • Support for the 3rd ‘Blackened Goggles Challenge’ (12 October 2025, Limassol Olympic Swimming Pool) — organised by multiple Paralympic medallist Karolina Pelendritou. KBF provided free participation for all children under 15.
  • Support for ‘Diving For Peace’ (20 September 2025, Limassol) — international event with athletes from 40+ countries, organised by the CNPC under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth.
  • Agreement with the Nicosia Municipal Multi-purpose Centre for the Open School Programme (15 May 2025) — physical education classes for individuals with intellectual disabilities, commenced 13 October 2025, running to 6 June 2026. Activities include karate, hip hop, tennis, zumba, chess, painting, cooking, and archery. Estimated beneficiaries: 100+ per month.

3.  FEM: Future Empowered Minds

FEM is KBF’s structured leadership programme for teenage girls aged 13–18, primarily from single-parent, low-income, or refugee-background families. The programme combines mentoring, workshops, psychosocial support, and non-formal education to build confidence, leadership skills, and equal participation in sport and society.

The programme was developed in direct response to documented findings from European studies and national strategies — including guidance from the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE, 2024) and Cyprus Ministry of Education guidelines — which identified a clear gap in leadership and sports participation opportunities for girls, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds.

2025 Activities

  • FEM Camp 1 (April 2025, Limassol) — 20 girls aged 13–18 participated. 15+ speakers including psychologists, coaches, athletes, and mentors delivered workshops on health, self-awareness, and leadership. Keynote speaker: Karolina Pelendritou.
  • School activities at Tsireio Gymnasium, Limassol (April–May 2025) — educational sessions for male and female students promoting equality, effort, and teamwork.
  • FEM Online Programme (September–December 2025, Series 1) — providing participating teenagers with a network of support and inspiration, featuring distinguished women from sport and professional fields as speakers and mentors.
  • Total FEM community: 2,000+ girls reached across online and offline channels by end of 2025.

4.  Emergency Humanitarian Action

Following the devastating wildfires of summer 2025, KBF — together with strategic partner Enalian — mobilised immediate support for the affected community of Souni–Zanatzia, Cyprus. The response went beyond standard humanitarian aid to address long-term community recovery.

Actions Taken

  • Donation of generators to restore essential services.
  • Restoration and reforestation of a community park — 400 trees and plants replanted.
  • Installation of inclusive playground equipment.
  • Repair of water supply infrastructure.

5.  Communication & Awareness

Alongside its active programmes, KBF invested in strategic communications to broaden public awareness of its mission and extend its reach to parents, educators, and policymakers.

2025 Activities

  • Partnership with ‘The Mamma Mu Podcast’ by journalist Eleni Antoniou (Spotify & Apple Podcasts) — production support for a series of episodes covering sport, leadership, parenting, emotional intelligence, and social cohesion. Featured guests include Stefanie Nikola (Founder, United Sports Cyprus) and Christiana Tzini (Founder, Inner Growth Academy Cyprus).
  • Participation in the International Sports Convention (ISC) Women’s Sports Business Week — KBF Founder Kateryna Biloruska presented the Foundation’s programmes as a guest speaker, emphasising sport and education as tools for social change.

Strategic Partnerships

KBF’s model is built on structured, long-term partnerships rather than one-off collaborations. All major partnerships in 2025 were formalised through written agreements or memoranda.
