The Girls Empowerment: Together Through Football Project has officially kicked off its latest initiative with two dynamic events designed to inspire and empower young people. From the high-energy atmosphere of a football stadium to the thoughtful reflections of a digital webinar, the project is already making a meaningful impact on its participants.

Offline Kickoff: “Together We Rise” at AlphaMega Stadium

The journey began with the “Together We Rise” kickoff event, held during the Women’s Cup Final at the AlphaMega Stadium. This event brought together girls aged 12–17, their families, and the community to foster a spirit of connection and teamwork.

Participants engaged in several meaningful activities:

  • Psychological Support: Girls learned about available mental health resources.

  • Feelings Check-in: A dedicated space for a short emotional “check-in”.

  • Feelings Board: A creative outlet where girls shared their emotions openly.

  • Program Introduction: An opportunity to learn more about the future of the initiative.

At the part of the activity was the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation station, which focused on the intersection of sport and emotional well-being.

This first offline step was about more than just the game; it was about creating a safe space where young women felt they could simply be themselves.

Online Learning: “Leadership Through Sport & Everyday Life”

Following the physical kickoff, the project moved into the digital space with its first educational webinar. The session, titled “Leadership Through Sport & Everyday Life,” is now available for those who wish to explore the true meaning of leadership.

The webinar moved away from the “perfect picture” of leadership, focusing instead on how it is built through:

  • Teamwork and sport.

  • Managing moments of doubt.

  • The persistence to keep going.

Special thanks go to our guest speakers, Chinazo John Nnaya and Sofia Miranda, for providing an honest and insightful conversation about why leadership is often about showing up and supporting those around you, rather than just having all the answers.

Whether on the field or behind a screen, these events represent the first steps in a program dedicated to helping girls discover their inner strength and leadership potential. Stay tuned for more updates as the project continues!
