Prometheus online educational platform launches a new course «Education for All: diversity, inclusion and physical development» from the series «New Physical Culture» of international charitable organization.
It is symbolic that the training starts on the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP), which takes place annually on 6 April. The course is created for teachers, educators, parents, and guardians. About 9,000 people have already registered for it.
Anastasia Solodovnyk, Methodist of online courses at the Prometheus platform, says that the topic of inclusion is relevant for Ukrainian education due to the increasing number of inclusive classes in educational institutions. Moreover, in wartime, learning becomes a kind of support for children, an opportunity to be distracted, and school classes provide an opportunity to change the focus of attention. However, not all parents and professionals know and understand exactly how to provide this support. Therefore, the course collected materials aimed at the psychological support of children during the war.
The course consists of four modules:
- inclusive education
- psychological and pedagogical principles of inclusive education
- physical education teacher is the leader in change
- adaptive physical culture for children with special educational needs
The first and the second modules are more general, they cover the pedagogical and methodological foundations of inclusive education. The third and fourth modules are aimed at physical education teachers.
Course volume: 30 hours.
