Legendary Ukrainian boxer, winner of a number of international tournaments, and world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk met with children-wards of two programs: the Sports Mentor and "Yes, I can!", and also witth young athletes from the Boxing Federation of Ukraine and the Federation of Greco-Roman Wrestling of Ukraine.
The boxer talked to the children and held a motivational master class in boxing. The children also discussed with the champion the recent fight with the British Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr’s intention to become the world’s first champion in two weight categories.
However, the main purpose of the champion’s visit was to support children and inspire them to sports achievements.
“I’m here today to tell you one simple thing. All my life I train a lot for the result. And I’m sure you can also achieve your goal. Try to build your life correctly, work on yourself, train, go to the goal. I also stumbled and was wrong. The main thing is not to give up, and then everything will work out, “Oleksandr Usyk said while talking to the children.
The athlete recently supported the Parimatch Foundation’s Sports Mentor initiative and publicly encouraged everyone to join the program to give children a chance at a new life.
