The main focus of the program is aimed at counteracting the psychological consequences of war and working with the traumatic experience by involving children in play.
Children who are away from home due to a forced evacuation have a hard time coping with stress. The program aims to reduce the risk of psychological and emotional problems in the future.
Its goal is to foster resilience among teachers and children, reduce anxiety, and learn how to provide first aid to children with signs of traumatic experiences through exercise. The course will provide knowledge and skills for engaging with children regarding psychological safety, focusing on communication and physical activity techniques.
Kateryna Biloruska Foundation, an international charitable organization, has initiated the launching of a new project within the Mental Health program. “Secret Stories of Small and Great Victories” is the first collection of therapeutic audio fairytales for children in Ukrainian. The project is aimed at supporting children who have been affected by Russian aggression.
Organization of certified training on the topic "Crisis psychological assistance. Basics of self-help and helping others" for psychologists of Inclusive Resource Centers, with further counseling of children and parents, from among internally displaced persons.
Kateryna Biloruska Foundation, as part of the "Help to Ukraine" program, financed the organization of sports camps for the physical and psychological rehabilitation of children who suffered from Russian military aggression in Ukraine. The foundation took over all the costs of organizing camps in three countries.
As part of the Mental Health Program program, with the participation of the IKM team, we have developed a unique coloring guide with exercises that can be performed at home to cope with stress in a child, help overcome anxiety and relieve emotional tension.
