The Kateryna Biloruska Foundation remains dedicated to providing educational opportunities that equip young girls with leadership skills, self-confidence, and emotional intelligence, ensuring they can shape their futures and contribute to a more inclusive society.

So recently we’ve met with teenagers at a Cypriot gymnasium – Tsireio Gimnasio Lemesou to discuss the essential skills that shape true leaders. The event focused on emphasizing confidence, communication, and emotional intelligence – the crucial “soft skills” that often matter more than technical knowledge in becoming an effective leader.

Leadership Beyond the Classroom

This is the second meeting of this kind with young people in Cyprus. At this event Kateryna Biloruska, the founder of the Foundation, introduced the FEM program, highlighting the importance of soft skills in becoming a true leader.

“Leadership is not just about being the loudest voice in the room. It’s about understanding others, making confident decisions, and creating positive change,” she said.

Inna Haas, one of the Foundation’s partners, an experienced trainer also shared insights on emotional intelligence – one of the core topics of the upcoming FEM Online Leadership Program. She spoke about the importance of being emotionally aware, empathetic, and resilient. These are qualities that form the core of strong leaders.

FEM Online Leadership Program

During the session, the team announced the upcoming FEM Online Leadership Program, which is already open for registration. This program is designed for girls ready to take their first steps in leadership, offering a safe and supportive sisterhood to develop critical life skills, build self-confidence, and find their unique voice. The FEM Online Program is going to start in September 2025.

The Kateryna Biloruska Foundation has launched FEM: Future Empowered Minds, a leadership program designed to empower teenage girls with the skills and confidence to thrive, as part of its commitment to gender equality. Through initiatives like the successful FEM Camp that was provided in April in Limassol and the upcoming FEM online course, young girls gain mentorship, leadership training, and personal development opportunities to unlock their full potential.

In addition to these efforts, the Foundation in collaboration with the local Gymnasium recently hosted an interactive motivational event in Cyprus, inviting teenage girls to explore the connection between leadership and emotional intelligence.

This event received such positive feedback from participants that the Foundation has decided to continue this series in schools across Cyprus, providing even more opportunities for young girls to gain valuable life skills and confidence.
