We are thrilled to announce that the second webinar of our special leadership series has successfully concluded. This initiative is organized within the framework of Project Girls Empowerment: Together Through Football, funded by the UEFA Foundation for Children and implemented by GOAL STI ZOI in partnership with the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation and GDA Sports.
The session, titled “How Sport Helps in Developing Self-Confidence,” was specially designed for girls aged 12–17 who want to feel more confident, express themselves freely, and better understand their own strength. It provided an open, pressure-free space to discuss how the skills gained through sport can completely change the way you feel about yourself—not only on the field, but in everyday life.
Meet the Empowering Speakers
Participants had the incredible opportunity to hear from global leaders who don’t just talk about empowerment—they live it:
Tanja Ferkau — A strategy and sports development expert with over 30 years of experience. She is the founder of the non-profit organizations SPORTS20.org and iMPCT.help, focusing on societal transformation and social change through sport.
Karishma Ali — A prominent Pakistani footballer, Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, and founder of the Karishma Ali Foundation, which focuses on empowering young girls through the powerful combination of sport and education.
Together, they shared inspiring personal stories, practical advice, and global perspectives on how sports serve as a powerful tool for building resilience and self-belief.
