Sports Mentor is a program that helps children, regardless of their social status, develop self-confidence, as well as their physical and social skills through sports.
In this case, the coach is not only a teacher for children, but also a friend and a person who motivates them to achieve more.
Under the Sports Mentor Program, we aim to:
• increase children's physical activity;
• involve children into sports;
• encourage children to achieve results;
• prevent antisocial behavior and emotional discomfort.

In November 2021, Foundation launched weekly fitness classes for children in a refugee shelter at the Kofinou Hospitality Center, near Larnaca. As part of the Sports Mentor Program, the fitness instructor was engaged in physical education with children twice a week for a year. And their parents had the opportunity to attend medical education programs on a monthly basis.
At the Nicosia Multi-Purpose Center, experts from Foundation also conducted weekly "Zumba kids" and "modern dance" classes for children participating in child protection and employment programs (5-12 years old).
This is an afternoon employment program for teenagers from low-income families. Its goal is to provide a reliable caregiver, healthy rest and proper preparation of children for school.
Twice a week, a trainer provides fitness classes with self-defense and mixed martial arts elements for all children. The courses are conducted in cooperation with the Cyprus Mixed Martial Arts Federation and the private school "MMA School — The Cage".
We have opened basketball and dance groups for young Ukrainians in the STUDY.UA Academy in Cyprus. Sport has become a tool for getting to know a new culture, friends, and an opportunity to learn a language and spend time actively after school.
