As part of the program "Yes, I can!" the foundation implemented an inclusive football training project for children with hearing impairments, Down syndrome, mental retardation, autism, and other special educational needs.
The aim of the project is to improve the psycho-emotional and physical condition of children through their activities and socialization.
30 children in each group are trained once a week with a qualified coach. As a result, children with disabilities improve their physical condition and mental development. Socialization with other children, which is usually lacking, plays an important role too.
Such training and open meetings are free and held with the support of local partners.
In partnership with Shakhtar Social training has already been launched in 4 Ukrainian cities: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, and Lviv. The foundation independently implemented a project on inclusive football training in Lutsk, Rivne, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, and Kropyvnytskyi.
We also organize open training with invited FC Shakhtar players. At these motivational meetings, athletes communicate with children, train, give gifts, take photos and autographs to remember.
