When you find yourself in a foreign land in time of war, it is important to regain a lost sense of security, cope with stress and find new friends. And sports will help here. Therefore, the Foundation has started some initiatives for children to distract them from the surrounding reality.
The Foundation made every day spent in camps in Cyprus unforgettable for children, and made sure the summer was calm, warm and full of love and support.
The Fondation sponsored the sports camps for physical and psychological rehabilitation of children affected by the full-scale russian invasion against Ukraine. The Fund took care of all expenses incurred for organizing camps in three countries under the "Help to Ukraine" program.
The Foundation invited displaced children from Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and Zaporizhia, children from large families of the Kyiv, Lviv region and Ternopil, as well as children whose parents were wounded in the war or are defending Ukraine on the front line today. Children-athletes from Mykolaiv were invited to the camp as well.

AEL Limassol Football Club, Basketball Organization Peace Players and other sports academies offer free classes for Ukrainian children, who were forced to come to Cyprus because of the war, giving them opportunity of being engaged in various sports, continuing to develop physically and communicating with other children.
In mid-March, the Foundation launched an initiative to collect toys for children arriving in Cyprus due to the war. Foundation passed all the toys to CY4UA support network and Hope4Children Foundation, which help to collect many them. The children received presents according to their age, as they should always feel they are still children.
In the summer of 2022, the Foundation financed the organization of sports camps for the physical and psychological rehabilitation of children affected by the russian hostilities in Ukraine. Over 100 children visited the sports camp, where physical activities were combined with a carefree holiday on the beach, as well as acquaintance with the culture and traditions of Cyprus. A special game program aimed at physical and psychological relaxation of children was developed by partners of the Foundation, the International Foundation "Hope for Children" CRC Policy Center.
In September, every little Ukrainian football fan had the opportunity to accompany a player to the pitch before the match started. The football pitch is a great place for new acquaintances that can develop into a good friendship. This is exactly what we wanted to achieve when we invited Ukrainian families to attend the match of Aris Limassol FC against APOEL.
