The Kateryna Biloruska Foundation is proud to announce a new milestone in our mission to empower the next generation. We are officially launching the project “Girls Empowerment: Together Through Football”. It is a project of GOAL STI ZOI, in association with KBF and GDA Sports, and funded by the UEFA Foundation for Children.
More Than Just a Game
This initiative is designed specifically for girls aged 12–17 in Cyprus, including those from vulnerable backgrounds and refugee communities. It goes far beyond the football pitch, combining physical activity with psychological support and leadership development to create a sustainable model for social integration.
What the Project Includes:
The program is built on a holistic approach to empowerment, featuring:
- Football Training Sessions: Professional coaching to build physical health and teamwork.
- Leadership & Communication Workshops: Online sessions to equip girls with essential life skills and confidence.
- Psychosocial Support: Group sessions led by specialists to foster mental well-being and resilience.
- Community Integration Events: Bringing together diverse groups of girls to promote social cohesion across Cyprus.
- Digital Innovation: The development of a unique trilingual digital toolkit, ensuring the project’s methodology can be used to support girls long-term, both locally and internationally.

At the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation, we believe that sport is one of the most powerful tools for social change. By partnering with the UEFA Foundation for Children, we are scaling our impact and providing young women with a safe environment to grow, lead, and thrive.

The first activities are scheduled to begin this spring. This is just the start of an important journey to ensure that every girl, regardless of her background, has the opportunity to play, learn, and lead.
