At the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation, sport is one of our key strategic priorities. We believe that through sport, children and young people gain not only physical strength but also confidence, teamwork skills, better mental health, and the ability to overcome barriers.
Free Sports Groups in Nicosia
This summer in Nicosia, the Foundation supported free sports groups that engage more than 350 children and teenagers every month. These activities clearly demonstrate how movement and regular physical activity can transform young lives. The children not only improve their health and resilience but also develop new friendships, motivation, and confidence.
New Sports Initiative Coming Soon
Building on this success, the Foundation is preparing to launch a brand-new sports initiative. Details will be announced shortly, and we look forward to sharing another step in our mission to make sport accessible and inclusive for all.
Partnerships for Inclusion
We are proud to be a Charity Partner of the 3rd Blackened Goggles Challenge, an initiative founded by Paralympic champion Karolina Pelendritou. This unique project raises awareness about the everyday challenges faced by people with visual impairments and inspires communities to build greater empathy and inclusivity.
Another important milestone is our partnership with the Cyprus National Paralympic Committee. This collaboration helps us to promote inclusivity and tolerance, as well as to create more opportunities in sport for people with disabilities.
Our Experience in Sports Programs
Over the years, the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation has successfully implemented several impactful sports initiatives:
- Boost4Best – a program that supported young Olympians of Cyprus in their athletic journey.
- Sports Mentor – aimed at helping children develop confidence, physical abilities, and social skills through sport, guided by role model coaches.
- B-right – an educational project using basketball as a tool to teach children about their rights.
- Yes, I Can – supporting children and youth with mental and physical disabilities through inclusive sports activities.
These initiatives are only part of our broader sports focus. We are committed to expanding this area further, because we see sport as a powerful symbol of strength, equality, and inspiration.
Looking Ahead
Very soon, the Foundation will unveil a new sports project that we believe will reshape the way communities perceive the power of sport. Stay tuned for more updates — and join us in building a healthier, stronger, and more inclusive future for children and youth.
