Cyprus has once again become the meeting point for the global sports community. Representatives from more than 40 countries will gather in Limassol on 20 September to take part in Diving for Peace, an initiative that highlights the role of sport as a driver of inclusion, diversity, and peacebuilding.
The event was organized by the Cyprus National Paralympic Committee together with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, under the patronage of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth and the Mayor of Limassol.
The Kateryna Biloruska Foundation, a long-term partner of the Cyprus National Paralympic Committee, was honored to join as an official guest. This collaboration is based on a memorandum of support and cooperation, and it continues to strengthen the shared vision of advancing diversity and inclusion in sports.
Kateryna Biloruska, Founder and President of the KB Foundation, will attend the event as a distinguished guest. Her presence underscore the Foundation’s commitment to promoting international cooperation with the Cyprus Paralympic community and supporting the development of the Paralympic movement on the island.
“Diving for Peace” brought together athletes, youth representatives, and local communities, reminding us that sport is not only about physical performance. It is also about values – equality, respect, tolerance, and solidarity. By bringing people together across borders, such initiatives demonstrate how sport can become a powerful instrument for sustainability and peace.
The Kateryna Biloruska Foundation confirmed that this is only the beginning. In the coming weeks, a new joint initiative with the Cyprus National Paralympic Committee will be announced. The project will further emphasize the vital role of sport in empowering communities and promoting diversity.
