This year-long programme empowers refugees and local girls (aged 12–17) in Cyprus through foodball, leadership workshops and psychosocial support. It builds resilience, confidence and inclusion while fostering intercultural understanding. Digital guide will scale the model across Europe, ensuring lasting impact.
As a result of a program:
• 100 refugee girls engaged in football training,
• 1 000 girls reached via online leadership workshops,
• 100 girls receive psychological support (10 group sessions),
• 2 community events with 300+ participants,
• 1 digital guide distributed to all Cypriot municipalities.
Geography: Nicosia, Larnaca, Paphos, Limassol
To respond to the growing number of refugee adolescent girls in Cyprus, the program aims to engage more than 50 000 girls across Cyprus. This scale-up addresses integration gaps (UNHCR, 2024) and maximizes impact by increasing football sessions to 3/week, expanding psychosocial support and doubling community events. It strengthens resilience, intercultural ties and scalability.
